Denmark Street Sessions: Free Music Fest Rocks Tin Pan Alley

Denmark Street, London’s historic Tin Pan Alley, will host the Denmark Street Sessions, a free one-day music festival on September 6th, 2025. The event, described as a blend of street party, open house, and intimate live shows, aims to revitalize the street’s musical heritage amidst recent redevelopment. The festival will take place across various venues, including Denmark Chateau, Rough Trade, and Regent Sounds, showcasing a diverse lineup. This includes performances by established artists like Jay Mehler (Kasabian, Beady Eye), who will combine a talk with a performance, and DJ Amazonica; piano icon Jim Brickman; and unsigned bands such as Muck Spreader, Doom Club, and Silkarmour. Marc Hayward, performing in Black Sabbath – The Ballet, highlights the street’s significance in launching his career, emphasizing the festival’s role in supporting grassroots music. The event follows the success of similar free street parties in the area, such as the one held by Ronnie Scott’s jazz club. The Denmark Street Sessions promise a vibrant celebration of music, aiming to counter the effects of recent redevelopment and reaffirm the street’s musical legacy. The free admission makes it accessible to a wide audience, promoting both the local music scene and the historical significance of Denmark Street.
