London’s Black on the Square Festival Returns
London's Trafalgar Square will host the third annual Black on the Square festival on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, from 12 pm to 6 pm. This free, one-day event celebrates London's Black cultural and creative talent. The 2024 festival featured diverse performances, including main stage acts like Cultur FM, Kofi Stone, and Bashy, alongside children's activities such as face painting and art workshops. Attendees also enjoyed a wide variety of food from Black-owned businesses, offering options ranging from plantain bites to vegan West African cuisine. Numerous stalls showcased artisan crafts, including accessories, clothing, home décor, and art. The 2025 lineup is yet to be announced, but organizers anticipate a similar breadth of offerings, showcasing a range of musical performances, cultural activities, and culinary delights. The event is part of Trafalgar Square‘s diverse annual programming, which includes celebrations for various cultural and religious holidays. Black on the Square provides a platform for Black artists and entrepreneurs while offering a vibrant and inclusive experience for all attendees.
